The Southern Visayas in the Philippines have five must visit dive destinations within a two-hour boat ride of each other. The Visayas are right in the middle of the coral diversity triangle and are calm all year round with fantastic coral, great visibility, and beautiful sun kissed Islands. We dove a variety of locations such as impressive walls, shelves, and slopes, white sand and black sand, as well as night dives along walls, muck, and coral slopes. Dove in June 2016
Highlights: Spending an entire surface interval with Dolphins just off of Apo Island. Swimming in the middle of massive school of circling jacks at Balicasag Island. Taking pictures of all the critters at Dauin. Floating along the beautiful walls and coral gardens of Cabilao.
Dive Sites: Famed muck dive location Dauin, coral haven, sanctuary Apo Island in Negros and Oslob Cebu for a dive with Whale Sharks. We also dove Balicasag Island and Cabilao Island off of Bohol.
Best for viewing: Beautiful corals and an incredible diversity of creatures.
