Santa Barbara Surge & Swell

 Had a good dive off the beach in Santa Barbara. The conditions looked promising but it turned out to be very “surgy”. Saw many spanish shawl nudibranchs, jellyfish, lobster, and more! Dove with some good company off of Campus Point, Santa Barbara, California May 2017.

Discovered a huge patch of thriving sand dollars! Also saw lobsters, sea hares, hornyhead Turbot (right eye flounder) and more! The California Channel Islands are a cold water diver’s paradise! You never know what you’re going to find when you make it out to the Islands. Santa Cruz Island is greatly untouched and the sea life there reflects it! August 2010 Highlights: Great visibility, colorful nudibranchs, and cool looking jellyfish!
